Cleaning an Oil Spill

This science video tells the story of how an Alabama zoo has come up with the idea of cleaning an oil spill with a renewable resource, alpaca fleece.

While it’s unknown how well the fleece will absorb the oil from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, scientists will be interested to see if there’s potential to use the renewable material to combat future oil spills.
