Video Help & Troubleshooting
If you can watch YouTube type videos on your computer then you should be able to watch the videos here at Science Kids. If you can't watch the videos then it might be for one of the following reasons:
Firewalls
If you're trying to watch from a school or business with a firewall in place that blocks video sites like YouTube then you might see a blank area rather than a video.
- Solution: Explain the problem to someone in charge of IT at your school or business.
Flash Player
If you have an old version of Adobe Flash player you might get an error message or be unable to play the videos.
JavaScript
If you can't play any of the videos then you might need to enable JavaScript in your browser.
- Solution: Enable JavaScript using the instructions for your type of browser:
- Firefox: Tools > Options > Content > Select "Enable JavaScript" and click OK.
- Internet Explorer: Tools > Internet Options > Security > Internet > Custom Level > Scroll down the list until you see "Scripting" > Select "Enable" for Active scripting and JavaScript and click OK.
- Safari: Preferences > Security > Webcontent > Select the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox and then close the preferences window to save your settings.
