Incredible Gliding Snake

You haven't seen anything until you've seen a gliding snake in action. This incredible video shows the Chrysopelea or "flying snake" as it glides through the air using the ridge scales on its belly. The snake climbs to a high point, chooses a destination, moves to the correct level of inclination and decides on a good landing area before thrusting its body in the intended direction, it then contorts its body like a concave wing, creating lift and allowing it to glide through the air in spectacular fashion.
